THE OPPORTUNITY
The MD Education Unit offers a 4 – 12-week elective/internship.
The structured internship program will include workshops, participation in research projects and activities within the MD Education Unit. This is an ideal opportunity for institutions who are looking at capacity development of their faculty in medical education or are planning to establish a medical education unit.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
REPORTING LINE: to MD Program Director
The successful candidate is expected to:
a. Attend the series of four workshops on medical education.
b. Observe learning and teaching practices in the MD course.
c. Participate in the meetings and activities of the MD Education Unit.
d. Engage in one research project.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
• To be eligible, the prospective interns need to be a medical/nursing graduate or have a postgraduate qualification in education. For elective, final year students will be considered.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
