Dear health professions students worldwide,

It is our pleasure to invite you to apply to become part of the AMEE Student Task Force 2023. Please complete the full application form to be considered for the Student Task Force.

The AMEE Student Taskforce comprises a team of enthusiastic international students who participate and assist in the AMEE Conference, the biggest Health Professions’ Education Conference annually. All health professions students are welcome! 

AMEE is one of the most important organizations for health professions' education worldwide. AMEE promotes international excellence in health professions education across the continuum of undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing professional education. Every year, AMEE organizes the largest health professions' education conference in the world: the AMEE Conference! In the last few years, more than 3,500 participants have attended the AMEE Conferences physically and virtually, with exposure to workshops, good practice sessions, poster presentations, short communications, exhibitions, etc.

This year, AMEE is offering a cohort of international health sciences students the chance to attend the AMEE Conference for free. Accommodation and meals will be covered for you, and partial financial aid for travel expenses will also be possible. In exchange, the chosen students are asked to assist in basic tasks related to helping with practical issues and assisting participants during the conference.

When/Where?

The conference will take place in a hybrid format from Glasgow, Scotland, between the 26th - 30th of August 2023. (Please note that the first working day of the Student Task Force will be August 26. Therefore the arrival day will be August 25 and the departure day August 30). 

The final number and distribution of slots will be informed in due course in time for the selection of the team. 

Selection Criteria

All applications will be judged by the AMEE Student Task Force Coordinator team.
Selection will be made based on:
- Motivation
- Relevant experience
- Plans for the use of the experience gained
- Geographical and gender diversity

COVID-19 Precautions

Currently, to enter Scotland, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. In the near future, rules might change, and therefore, we would like to warn you all to complete necessary vaccinations as well as watch out for new developments.
