ESME Assessment Online 2023

ESME Assessment Online 2023
The AMEE Essential Skills in Medical Education Assessment (ESMEA) course is aimed at people involved with teaching in the health professions who have limited experience in assessment and who wish to gain an insight into practical applications. It is also relevant to others who already have an interest in assessment and wish to gain a foundation in the theoretical underpinnings.
After completing the 12-week course, participants will have acquired a vocabulary and framework for understanding essential concepts in assessment, and familiarity with the principles for their practical implementation.
The award of the AMEE-ESMEA Certificate in Health Professions Education provides evidence of the participant’s interest in education and skills related to medical education assessment.

Structure of the course

The course is delivered online as a series of six 2-week modules with a final end-of course assessment, and is designed to allow asynchronous, self-paced learning within the modular framework. Each module is designed and delivered by a leading expert in the field and the opportunity will be provided to participate in a live discussion with the module lead and other course participants from around the world. The end-of-course assignment offers you the opportunity to apply what you have learned to your own practice, and receive feedback from the course team. Participants who successfully complete the assignment will be awarded the AMEE-ESMEA Certificate in Health Professions Education.
