Proud to offer a number of prestigious awards and prizes conference attendees.

These prizes recognise excellence in a variety of different areas across health professions education, and highlight the greatest achievements in our community and sector each year.

AMEE Doctoral Report Award

The AMEE Doctoral Awards encourage and award investigators who have conducted high quality research in the area of health professions education.

AMEE Research Paper Award

The AMEE Research Paper Award recognises outstanding research papers and excellence in education research. The award is made by the AMEE Research Committee at the annual AMEE conference.

The Ian Hart Award for Innovation in Medical Education

The Ian Hart Award for Innovation in Medical Education recognises individuals who have made an exceptional contribution internationally to undergraduate, postgraduate and/or continuing medical education.

Lifetime Achievement Award

The AMEE Lifetime Achievement Award is awarded to an individual that has made a considerable contribution to Medical and Health Professions Education.

Medical Teacher ePoster Prize

ePosters are a valuable mode of information delivery at academic conferences. AMEE has been an innovator in having ePosters at its annual conferences. Since 2019, the AMEE Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) Committee has awarded an ePoster prize.

Patil Teaching Innovation Award

The Patil Teaching Innovation Awards have been made possible through a donation from Professor Nivritti Patil, University of Hong Kong.

The Awards are made to participants at AMEE conferences who have presented a short communication that is judged by a committee to have demonstrated innovation in relation to teaching and learning methods, assessment, or curriculum planning.

Simulation Journal Club Award

The AMEE Simulation Committee  curate the most influential, innovative, provocative and interesting papers on simulation published in the current conference year and previous year. 

Papers are  presented at the AMEE Conference followed by a Q&A session.  The paper with the highest ratings will be awarded the Best Research in Medical Simulation.
