The AMEE Sino-Russian “New Educator of the Year” Award will be an annual award, alternating each year between China and Russia. It will be awarded to a new educator (less than 10 years in medical / healthcare education) and will be based upon the qualities of their
• personal development in medical and healthcare education,
• ability and activities related to the support of colleagues
and
• being an active member of AMEE.
Initially, and related to the present focus given to specific areas of China and Russia, the first few awards will be through a recognition process, names will be put forward by those AMEE members working in the two countries and /or those leaders within the two countries who recognise faculty appropriate for the award.

Sino-Russian New Educator of the Year Award 2021
We are pleased to announce that Dr Da-ya Yang and Dr Shaoting (Susan) Feng have both been awarded the Sino-Russian New Educator of the Year Award 2021 for their excellent work in advancing health professions education in China. We are also pleased to announce that they were both appointed as Co-Directors of the AMEE International Networking Centre in April 2020.
