TEL Committee Innovation Development Grant

About Award

AMEE is pleased to announce the opening of expressions of interest for consideration for the 2022 AMEE TEL Committee Innovation Development Grants.

Four grants, each of £1,000, will be awarded by the TEL Committee. Only AMEE individual or student members may apply.

Purpose

To stimulate the development of innovative approaches for the use of technology to enhance teaching and learning in health professions education.

Background

The AMEE TEL Committee Innovation Development Grant provides a stimulus for health professions educators to be creative in the development of new solutions to the educational challenges that they face. Examples of these educational challenges include exploring the potential application of a new technology, using a well-established technology in a novel way, or adapting currently available technology for low resource settings. The educational challenge and the development of a new and innovative solution to the challenge is entirely the choice of the applicant – but it should be creative and innovative!

Eligibility

The focus is on health professions education. Students and juniors in training will be required to provide a letter of support from a senior colleague; this letter should clearly describe how the applicant will have an opportunity to perform the work described in the project application, including dissemination.

Members of the AMEE TEL Committee may not apply or be involved in any part of the project.

Value

There are four grants of £1,000 each (no facilities and administration fee).

Duration

The project should be completed within 12 months of the award.
