Payment must be remitted by credit card or by bank transfer (accepting both sender and recipient bank charges) in Euros € only.  Please ensure that bank transfers are remitted to the Worldspan account as detailed on the invoice and not to the AMEE account. If you request to pay by invoice, please make sure that you provide accurate details in order for your payment to be processed by your institution, including any purchase order numbers, contact name, department and full address to which the invoice should be addressed to. It is the delegates’ responsibility to ensure prompt payment.

Payment should be remitted to Worldspan prior to commencement of the conference. Only by prior agreement may payment be made onsite at the registration desk.

We strongly recommend you take out insurance to cover any potential loss of registration fees, travel and accommodation costs that might result from any medical condition, family death or illness or accident that may preclude your attendance at the conference, or that may necessitate treatment while in Finland.

Terms and Conditions relating to registration for AMEE Conference 26-30 August 2017 to be held in Helsinki, Finland

Completion of the registration information signifies acceptance of the terms and conditions set out below.

  1. The registration fees may only be paid in Euros (€) irrespective of your country of origin.
  2. 4th International Faculty Development Conference attendance includes:  Evening reception (Friday 25 August), attendance at sessions (Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 August), coffee, lunch (Saturday 26 August), coffee (Sunday 27 August)
  3. AMEE 2017 Registration fee includes: attendance at main conference sessions (Sun-Wed) including conference workshops (according to availability); lunch (Mon-Tues) and coffee breaks (Mon-Wed); Opening Reception (Sun); Conference materials; Public transport ticket.
  4. Travel to Helsinki and accommodation is NOT included in the registration fee.
  5. Payment may be made by credit/debit card (VISA, Mastercard) or bank transfer in Euros (€)only. All payments must be made prior to the start of the Conference unless prior arrangements have been made to make payment at the registration desk.
  6. Cancellation policy for AMEE 2017, 4th International Conference on Faculty Development and Interprofessional Skills Training Symposium: a refund of previously paid registration fees will be made as follows – Notification in writing by 15 May 2017: full refund less Euros 75 administration fee; Notification in writing by 1 July 2017: 50% refund; Notification after 1 July: no refund.
  7. Cancellation policy for Pre-conference workshops, Courses and Masterclasses:  AMEE will make every effort to resell places on pre-conference workshops/courses/Masterclasses but cannot guarantee a refund will be possible.
  8. Please note in the event of cancellation, bank or credit card charges incurred by AMEE will not be refunded.
  9. This contract is governed by the laws of Scotland.

Free Registration Awards

A limited number of free registrations for AMEE 2017 only is available to participants from the countries listed above, who submit and have accepted an abstract for a research paper, doctoral report, a short communication or poster presentation. Practising teachers and registered students and Junior Doctors from medical and healthcare professions institutions may apply. Please email your request to the AMEE Office ( by 26 February, after submission of your abstract, which can be done online or by email. Participants to be offered free registration will be notified by 30 April.
