Certificates are issued electronically and will be issued within 6 weeks of the conference.

If you have specific certificate requirements, please request this  by email ([email protected]) and your request will be actioned after the conference.  Please note that it may not be possible to meet some requests.

Children

Registered participants may take children into all conference sessions except workshops if it is not possible to make alternative arrangements for their care. Children must be accompanied at all times, and participants are kindly asked to take them out of sessions if they become disruptive.

Children should not be left unaccompanied at any time at the SEC, Clyde Auditorium or the Crowne Plaza.

The student taskforce are unable to supervise any children during the conference. Participants are requested to arrange their own childcare.

CME

Credits are being requested from the UK Royal Colleges for full attendance at the main conference (5-9 September 2020).

A register of attendance will be available to those who wish to claim for their attendance at the main conference registration desk for signing at coffee break Wednesday 9 September.  Certificates confirming CME credits will be emailed within 2 weeks of the close of the conference.

Foreign currency and travellers cheques can be exchanged at banks, post offices, travel agents, bureau de change kiosks and some hotels throughout the city.

Credit cards are widely accepted in Glasgow and Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) or cash machines can be found throughout the city.

The standard voltage in Scotland is 240V AC, 50Hz. North American appliances need a transformer and an adapter; Australasian appliances need only an adapter. Plugs have 3 square pins and adapters are widely available.

It is strongly recommended that you take out insurance to cover any potential loss of registration fees, travel and accommodation costs that might result from any medical condition, family emergencies or accident that may preclude your attendance at the conference, or cause you to seek medical advice during your stay in Glasgow, UK

All conference locations being used by AMEE will be strictly no smoking.


The law prohibits smoking in certain public places which are 'wholly or substantially enclosed', including the majority of workplaces. It will be an offence to smoke in no smoking premises or to knowingly permit smoking in no smoking premises.

Weather

September is one of the best months to visit Scotland, with about 14 hours of daylight. The weather can be somewhat unpredictable, so remember to pack a jacket and umbrella just in case.

Medical Services

For general medical enquiries and support, contact the Medical Centre in the SEC Centre who will be pleased to help.

The Medical Centre is located at the east end of the concourse in the SEC Centre. There is also a fully equipped Medical Room on the ground floor of The SSE Hydro.

While on site, SEC medical staff can be approached directly, or via one of the SEC stewards.
