About AMEE Ambassadors
In recognition of the expanding nature of AMEE’s international activities, AMEE has appointed a number of Ambassadors to act as regional representatives. Their remit will be to promote AMEE in the region and to communicate back to AMEE the specific needs of the medical and health professions education community in the region to promote collaborative working.
An AMEE Ambassador will act on behalf of AMEE in his/her region by:
Making AMEE’s activities and the benefits of AMEE membership known to individuals and organisations with an interest in medical/healthcare professions education. AMEE’s activities will be promoted at local, national, and regional conferences and through electronic communications and other means. If appropriate, promotional and educational material will be translated into the local language.
Bringing a regional perspective to the work and activities of AMEE through inputs to the AMEE Executive, AMEE Central Office, and AMEE eLearning, Postgraduate, Research, and Simulation Committees.
Promoting AMEE’s publications, including its journal Medical Teacher, MedEdPublish, AMEE Guides, BEME Guides, and Occasional Papers.
Promoting and contributing to AMEE’s annual conference and facilitating the participation in the meeting before and during the conference of delegates from the Ambassador’s country or region.
Providing a regional perspective to MedEdWorld by contributing news items and other material and where appropriate by leading a discussion forum or a special interest group with a regional dimension.
Providing a short annual report to the AMEE Executive and the AMEE General Assembly and contributing in the AMEE Annual Report by highlighting relevant activities in the region.
