The Governing Committee plays a vital role in shaping AMEE’s long‑term direction, ensuring that we continue to support excellence and innovation in Health Professions Education worldwide.
As AMEE continues to grow and evolve, we are seeking individuals who can bring fresh perspectives, strong governance experience, and a passion for advancing our mission.
Who Should Apply?
AMEE is committed to building a Governing Committee that reflects the diversity of our international community. We aim to ensure broad representation from across the world and particularly welcome applications from members based in Africa, The Eastern Mediterranean, South-East Asia and The United Kingdom
We also encourage applicants from a wide range of professional backgrounds. While not exhaustive, we are especially looking to strengthen our skills and insight in the following areas:
- Human resources and employment governance
- Income diversification, partnerships, and organisational sustainability
- Digital strategy, technology governance, and cyber awareness
- International organisational governance
- Multi-professional health professions education
- Independent or lay trustee perspectives from outside the health professions education sector

Applicants should be able to demonstrate:
- Strategic organisational leadership
- A broad perspective on health professions education
- Clear commitment to AMEE’s mission and values
- Experience working in international or cross‑cultural contexts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Active involvement in AMEE activities or initiatives
- A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion
