Presenter: Raquel Pereira Correia
Date: 12 May 2020
Time: 14:00 (2pm BST +1)

In association with AMEE Technology Enchanced Learning (TEL) Committee

Summary: Podcasting is a useful medium to complement traditional teaching and it has been shown to promote learning. Students motivation is said to be increased and the understanding of key concepts improved. Podcasts can be easily made and distributed using a smartphone, however, a good podcast involves more than that.
In order to develop a good podcast, it is important to plan the episodes, record high-quality audio, know how to interview and have a solid plan for launching.
All this might seem like a daunting task, but with the right tools, it becomes fairly simple.

This webinar may be of interest to health professions educators and students across the educational spectrum, from undergraduate and graduate settings to continuing professional development, who want to develop and launch a podcast.

Summary: Everyone is talking about video. And everybody is using video tutorials privately to learn and understand difficult topics. Now is the perfect moment to transfer this powerful educational tool to your teaching environment.
We want to provide you with a webinar about the implementation and production of educational films. You will hear about the theory and the scientific background and what makes videos such power tools for education. You will learn about planning, the essential equipment and what you will need for postproduction.
We aim to provide the basic knowledge on how to start your own video projects. If you have already some experience in filming, it is also a great opportunity to improve your skills. This is also an appetizer for the video workshop at AMEE 2020.
